Antique cast iron skillet with gate mark. Excellent restored condition. Manufactured from the mid to late 1800s. Measures 11 inches wide at the spouts and 2 inches tall. The cooking surface measures 9 inches across. Weighs in at only 3 pounds 5 ounces. No cracks. Sits flat on a glass surface with no wobble or spinning. The bottom surface does have the typical sulfur pitting that came from cooking over a coal fired stove. The interior cooking surface is glassy smooth with a typical casting flaw that can be seen in the photos. This won't affect cooking performance at all.
About Cast Iron Archaeology:
My name is Tony, and I am Cast Iron Archaeology. Restoring vintage and antique cast iron cookware is my passion. When I'm not working my full-time job as a RN at the local hospital, I am at home in my shop restoring, cleaning and seasoning cast iron. For me this is a labor of love. The difference between my cast iron and the others out there is the attention to detail. First, I strip it down
