Rainer Stern (1955) is an Austrian painter and a representative of the symbolist and fantastic-realistic style. During stays in Sicily, Florence and Venice and due to enduring studies of icon painting, as well as the art of Renaissance and Old Master painting, the artist has learned their techniques. Since 1998, the artist has held solo exhibitions and executed commissions of portraits. The artist lives and works in Vienna.
